After she returned to the class, Mahiru and the others were busy playing games that Chiaki brought. Mahiru, Mikan, Sonia, and Chiaki played the Bomber Guy game together until Hiyoko and Teruteru Hanamura brought them food.


Mahiru had met with Nagito, who later told her to play the second motive, Twilight Syndrome Murder Case but she decided to not play it until she received a file filled with real-life photos from Fuyuhiko. Mahiru finally decided to play the game and after playing, she feels compelled to gather the other girls involved in the game to discuss it and spends her final days depressed and scared about what the game showed her

Venturing into the underwater facility beneath the main building, Ibuki played on her electric guitar to a crowd of brainwashed rescue squad troops, rendering them unconscious with the sheer pain of her music. She is saved by Mahiru who quashed the efforts of the former Ultimate Marksman who was taking aim for a shot at Ibuki. The flash of Mahiru's camera caused temporary blindness for the squad member, enabling Mahiru to remove her noise canceling headphones and causing her to fall unconscious. Mahiru and Ibuki share a high five once all squad members are unconscious.


Mahiru seems to be weirded out at times by Ibuki's eccentric behavior but still considers her a friend. She is deeply disturbed by Ibuki's odd taste in music, seen covering her ears when she heard Ibuki play at Hope's Peak Academy. Ibuki likes Mahiru, and feels guilty about Mahiru's death in Chapter 2 because she didn't accept her invitation to talk.


Diamond films with grain sizes in the range of 5-1000 nm and grain boundaries containing nondiamond carbon are deposited on a silicon substrate by varying the deposition parameters. The overall morphologies of the as-deposited diamond-nondiamond composite films are examined by scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy, which show a decrease in the surface roughness with a decrease in the diamond grain size. Although the Raman spectra show predominately nondiamond carbon features in the diamond films with smaller grain sizes, glancing-angle X-ray diffraction spectra show the absence of graphitic carbon features and the presence of very small amorphous carbon diffraction features. The CH4 percentage (%) in Ar and H2 plasma during deposition plays a crucial role in the formation of diamond films with different grain sizes and nondiamond carbon contents, which, in turn, determines the field-emission behavior of the corresponding diamond films. The smaller the grain size of the diamond, the lower is the turn-on field for electron emission. A lower turn-on field is obtained from the diamond films deposited with 2-5% CH4 than from the films deposited with either 1% or 7.5% CH4 in the Ar medium. A current density greater than 1 mA/cm2 (at 50 V/microm) is obtained from diamond films deposited with a higher percentage of CH4. A model is suggested for the field-emission mechanism from the diamond-nondiamond composite films with different diamond grain sizes and nondiamond contents.


In digital 3D holographic displays, the generation of realistic 3D images has been hindered by limited viewing angle and image size. Here we demonstrate a digital 3D holographic display using volume speckle fields produced by scattering layers in which both the viewing angle and the image size are greatly enhanced. Although volume speckle fields exhibit random distributions, the transmitted speckle fields have a linear and deterministic relationship with the input field. By modulating the incident wavefront with a digital micro-mirror device, volume speckle patterns are controlled to generate 3D images of micrometer-size optical foci with 35 viewing angle in a volume of 2 cm 2 cm 2 cm.


The size of sports fields considerably varies from a few meters for table tennis to hundreds of meters for golf. We first show that this size is mainly fixed by the range of the projectile, that is, by the aerodynamic properties of the ball (mass, surface, drag coefficient) and its maximal velocity in the game. This allows us to propose general classifications for sports played with a ball.


The Ph(4)P(+) salt of the tetrahedral complex [Co(SPh)(4)](2-), possessing an S = (3)/(2) ground state with an axial zero-field splitting of D = -70 cm(-1), displays single-molecule magnet behavior in the absence of an applied magnetic field. At very low temperatures, ac magnetic susceptibility data show the magnetic relaxation time, τ, to be temperature-independent, while above 2.5 K thermally activated Arrhenius behavior is apparent with U(eff) = 21(1) cm(-1) and τ(0) = 1.0(3) 10(-7) s. Under an applied field of 1 kOe, τ more closely approximates Arrhenius behavior over the entire temperature range. Upon dilution of the complex within a matrix of the isomorphous compound (Ph(4)P)(2)[Zn(SPh)(4)], ac susceptibility data reveal the molecular nature of the slow magnetic relaxation and indicate that the quantum tunneling pathway observed at low temperatures is likely mediated by intermolecular dipolar interactions. 2011 American Chemical Society


Objectives:Previous research suggested that people with Parkinson's disease are able to increase handwriting stroke size up to 1.5 cm without an increase of stroke duration; whereas age matched individuals in normal health are able to modulate stroke size without changes in stroke duration for sizes up to 2 cm. This study was designed to test this finding by examining whether sizes larger than 1.5 cm show different relationships with stroke duration for patients with Parkinson's disease as compared with age matched controls. Methods:The study included 13 subjects with Parkinson's disease and 13 age matched controls. Participants were required to write a cursive "llllllll" pattern, or a cursive "lililili" pattern without the dots, at a comfortable speed and also as fast as possible, in five different sizes (1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0, and 5.0 cm). The participants wrote with a ballpoint pen on a digitiser tablet. The target pattern was displayed at its required size on a screen, but disappeared as soon as the pen touched the surface of the digitiser tablet. Online visual monitoring of the hand was prevented by a cover over the digitiser. After each trial, the recorded movement of the tip of the pen was displayed with two lines to indicate whether the size requirement had been met. The writing conditions were presented in random order and consisted of 12 trials for each participant. Results:The results demonstrated that stroke size and duration produced by the participants with Parkinson's disease were independently modulated up to 1.5 cm; sizes over 1.5 cm resulted in progressive undershooting by patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). It was also shown that these participants modulated acceleration measures inefficiently as compared with controls. Conclusions:The findings suggest that individuals with Parkinson's disease writing at speed produce inadequate stroke sizes when these should equal or exceed 1.5 cm. PMID:14617705


Magnetic properties of electron-doped La1/3Ca2/3MnO3 manganite nanoparticles with average particle size ranging from 12 to 42 nm, prepared by the glycine-nitrate method, have been investigated in temperature range 5-300 K and in magnetic fields up to 90 kOe. Reduction in the particle size suppresses antiferromagnetism and decreases the Néel temperature. In contrast to bulk crystals, the charge ordering does not occur in all studied nanoparticles, while a weak ferromagnetism appears above 200 K. Low temperature magnetic hysteresis loops indicate upon exchange bias effect displayed by horizontal and vertical shifts in field cooled processes. The spontaneous and remanent magnetization at low temperature shows a relatively complex variation with particle size. The size-induced structural/magnetic disorder drives the La1/3Ca2/3MnO3 nanoparticles to a pronounced glassy behavior for the smallest 12 nm particles, as evidenced by large difference between zero field cooled and field cooled magnetization, frequency dependent ac-susceptibility, as well as characteristic slowing down in the spin dynamics. Time evolution of magnetization recorded in magnetic fields after field cooling to low temperatures exhibits pronounced relaxation and a very noisy behavior that may be caused by formation of some collective states. Magnetic properties of the nanoparticle samples are compared with those of La0.2Ca0.8MnO3 nanoparticles. These results shed some light on the coupling between charges and spin degrees of freedom in antiferromagnetic manganite nanoparticles.


We study the imprints of a massive spin-2 field on inflationary observables, and in particular on the breaking of consistency relations. In this setup, the minimal inflationary field content interacts with the massive spin-2 field through dRGT interactions, thus guaranteeing the absence of Boulware-Deser ghostly degrees of freedom. The unitarity requirement on spinning particles, known as Higuchi bound, plays a crucial role for the size of the observable signal.


The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of changes in field size on the physiological and skill demands of small-sided games in elite junior and senior rugby league players. Sixteen elite senior rugby league players ([mean SE] age, 23.6 0.5 years) and 16 elite junior rugby league players ([mean SE] age, 17.3 0.3 years) participated in this study. On day 1, 2 teams played an 8-minute small-sided game on a small field (10-m width 40-m length), whereas the remaining 2 teams played the small-sided game on a larger sized field (40-m width 70-m length). On day 2, the groups were crossed over. Movement was recorded by a global positioning system unit sampling at 5 Hz. Games were filmed to count the number of possessions and the number and quality of disposals. The games played on a larger field resulted in a greater (p 0.05) over the duration of recovery periods for junior players, larger field size significantly reduced (p 0.05) were detected for games played on a small or large field for the number or quality of skill involvements. These results suggest that increases in field size serve to increase the physiological demands of small-sided games but have minimal influence over the volume or quality of skill executions in elite rugby league players. 2ff7e9595c
